I am an experienced ESL teacher and academic English consultant, affiliated with a QS top-50 research university as both staff and alumni. Based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, I have taught and supported students from beginner level through PhD candidates — covering exam preparation, academic writing and speaking, and the everyday professional English needed to work and study abroad. 我是一位经验丰富的英语教师与学术英语顾问，以员工及校友身份隶属一所QS前50研究型大学，现居荷兰阿姆斯特丹。自2019年起，我辅导过从入门水平到博士阶段的学生——涵盖考试备考、学术写作与口语，以及留学和工作所需的日常职场英语。

I am the consultant behind the academic writing service 云博文书, through which I have supported 200+ students from bachelor through PhD level since 2019. Trial lesson试课

We meet online. I map out your level, understand what you want to achieve, and we agree a direction for your lessons — shaped around your goals and how you learn.我们进行一次在线试课。我会梳理你的水平，了解你的目标，并一起确定课程方向——围绕你的目标和学习方式量身设计。

Lessons正式上课

One-on-one sessions, each with a short recap. Homework can be added on request.一对一授课，每节课后附简短小结。可按需布置作业。

Progress check-ins阶段回顾

I review your progress periodically and adjust as we go. When you reach your goal — a score, a presentation, a new job — tell me how it went.我会定期回顾你的进度并适时调整。当你达成目标——考试出分、完成演讲、拿到工作——告诉我结果。

Common questions常见问题

How do online lessons work?在线课程是怎么上的？

We meet one-on-one via Zoom or Tencent Meeting for 60 minutes. You'll need a stable connection, a microphone, and ideally a camera.我们通过 Zoom 或腾讯会议进行一对一授课，每节60分钟。你需要稳定的网络、麦克风，最好有摄像头。

What level do I need to start?我的英语基础不好，可以学吗？

Any level. In the trial lesson I assess your level and goals, and we build from there. For beginners, I adjust the pace and explanation to match.任何水平都可以。试课时我会评估你的水平与目标，并从这里出发。基础较弱的学员，我会相应调整节奏与讲解方式。

Do I need to buy a textbook?需要自己买教材吗？

No. Where it's useful, we can work with material you're already using — an essay you're writing, emails you're sending, exam texts you're practising. That's usually more effective than working through generic exercises.不需要。如果合适，我们也可以用你正在使用的材料——你在写的作文、你发的邮件、你在练的真题。这通常比通用练习更有针对性。

How does scheduling work with time zones?你在欧洲，上课时间怎么安排？

I'm based in Amsterdam (CET), which actually works well for students in China — my mornings and early afternoons are your evenings. We agree a regular weekly slot, and rescheduling is free with 24 hours' notice.我在阿姆斯特丹（欧洲中部时间），这对中国学员反而很方便——我的上午和下午正好是你的晚上。我们会约定每周固定时间，提前24小时可免费改期。

How many lessons will I need?大概需要多少节课？

It depends on your starting point and goal — I'll give you an honest estimate after the trial lesson. For exam prep: raising IELTS writing by half a band usually takes 8–12 focused sessions. For speaking and fluency, many students keep a regular weekly lesson, since consistent practice is what builds it.取决于你的起点和目标——试课后我会给出诚实的判断。考试类：雅思写作提升半分通常需要8至12节课。口语和流利度方面，许多学员选择固定每周上课，持续练习是真正进步的方式。

Do you also write application documents?你也提供文书服务吗？

Yes — personal statements, CVs, reference letters, and research proposals are a separate service at my academic writing service. Many students combine both: lessons to build the skills, the writing service for the documents.提供——个人陈述、简历、推荐信和研究计划是单独的服务，详见云博文书。不少学员两者结合：上课提升能力，文书服务负责申请材料。
